Volume 8
1 Peter and Hebrews

1 Peter 3:8-9, 12-14

Finally, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, showing brotherly love, tenderhearted, humble, not giving back cruelty for cruelty or insult for insult, but give a blessing instead (because you were called to do this so that you might inherit a blessing)....

For the Master's eyes are on the benevolent, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Master's face is against those who commit cruelty And who is there to harm you if you zealously pursue benevolence? But even if you should suffer for the sake of loving-kindness you are blessed.
